The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service
Tottenham charity Living Under One Sun (LUOS) has received the prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service for 'outstanding work in their community'
The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is given to volunteer groups in the UK and was created by the Queen in 2002 to mark her Golden Jubilee. Living Under One Sun rleies heavily on volunteers as we have no core funding. As our volunteer Chairperson and local teacher Cherry Clark said,
"We love what we do for the community as volunteers. This award is such a boost to our confidence and we hope others join in and support our new community project at Down Lane Park.”
