A Weekend of Food, Flowers and Art

Welcoming Chelsea Fringe in Tottenham and Teaching Botanical Arts in our "Little Paradise"

Last weekend we have been happy to meet amazing people for two events held in our beautiful community allotment.
On Sunday 28th, as part of the Chelsea Fringe event "Discover Green Tottenham - Yes Tottenham", sixteen people visited us. We have had the opportunity and the pleasure to share our stories, answer questions and have passionate conversation about communities involved in regenerating their area and green spaces.

Art in our Garden

On Monday 29th May, thirty eight participants took part in our "Art in the Garden" open day. Visitors of all ages learnt the art of botanical drawing, made new signs for the garden with oil paints and created bee decorations from tree cones. Thank you to the amazing facilitators, artists and makers who helped to make such a successful bank holiday event.
Tony, one of the participants, wrote this about the time spent together.

"Dear Leyla,
I was in the group that visited you today, and wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your kind hospitality, your table today was like an oasis in 'paradise' and we were able to sit together and feel at home. Your project is really interesting and exactly what is needed in our communities today - bringing people together to enable us to live better."
