Livingston Gilchrist

Livingston has been a long-standing and proud resident of Tottenham since coming to the UK from Jamaica in 1968. An avid Spurs fan, he’s also quite passionate about how Tottenham & Haringey are perceived and actively engages in initiatives that help to promote the local area and it’s talented, diverse residents.  Some twelve years ago, Livingston decided to go into early ‘semi-retirement’ and in doing so started a social enterprise (MLB Learning Solutions) that would enable him to support residents in areas of career, business and/ or personal development.  As good fortune would have it, Livingston met Leyla Laksari (LUOS CEO) who was kind enough to support MLB in raising it’s profile in Haringey and reach a much wider audience.  A few years later, Livingston welcomed the opportunity to support LUOS by joining board of Trustees and brings a wealth of experience in business support, social enterprise development, entrepreneurship and employability skills.

Michael Warwick

Mike is a local teacher who has worked in the Borough for 17 years. When not teaching Mike works as a life coach and Emotional Freedom Techniques Therapist and runs a team of coaches working with young people experiencing exam related stress. Mike came to LUOS 4 years ago through a chance encounter with our CEO Leyla.

Over the years there have been many dedicated LUOS volunteers that have come to us and shared skills, got training and support, and stayed often for several years, and then moved on.  Our achievements could not happen without their contributions, their dedication, ideas and aspirations to making their neighbourhoods a better place, not just for themselves, but for others.
