Cafe

Living Under One Sun’s Community Hub and Cafe is a Living Under One Sun project to turn a disused Bowling Club and Green into an exciting multi-purpose community hub.

Back in May 2017 we won a competitive tendering process with Haringey Council to secure a leased for the regeneration and management of this hidden gem in the heart of Tottenham.  To create something beautiful for the enjoyment of the community, in June 2017 we launched a challenging social crowdfunding project on http://www.spacehive.com, asking people, businesses and institutions to come together by pledging funds to the project and make it happen.

The response has been amazing: many members of the community, and many local and national businesses showed support for the initiative, plus it’s been backed by the Mayor of London who pledged £25,000, recognising its importance for the community. Thanks to this incredible support, our campaign goal has been reached and the project is now being delivered!

It is the perfect space, both indoor and outdoor, for community groups to meet and arrange activities.

The cafe uses locally sourced, largely using the produce from Living Under One Sun community growing space. There is also now a performance stage, an outdoor global oven, and a Green Room on the site, for regular use as well as for special events and gatherings.

We also provide spaces for hire for private and corporate functions, family days, events, pop-up market to showcase local businesses and much more.  If you want to be part of it, or are interested in renting a space, just contact us.  See our Venue hire page for more details.

Everyone is welcome to contribute in their own way.  We look forward to meeting you!
